I have written articles and book chapters on the management of liver cancer.
Most of my patients have cancer confined to the liver without evidence of spread outside of the liver. Patients with metastatic disease to the liver would not have disease metastatic to other sites. The patients with portal hypertension have had complications such as bleeding and need a surgical shunt.
